Kraj is a small village on the northern side of Pašman Island with its neighbors being Pašman (settlement) on the western and Ugrinići on the eastern side. The village has a history back into medieveal times - thanks to the Franciscans establishing their monastery here.

The beaches in Kraj stretch along the shorter Dužica and the longer Tratica bays. Closer to the village is Dužica Bay, the coast on this beach is covered with concrete. Situated east of the monastery, Tratica Bay has its shore in its natural, original format: the coast below the monastery is stony and partly gravel, moving to east it becomes dominantly gravel and on its eastern end it changes to sand. Besides sand one can also find shade from trees on this eastern side of Tratica Bay. Adding to the picture that waters in Tratica Bay are shallow one could conclude that Kraj is an ideal destination for a family vacation with small kids.
